This policy explains how SheYo.Ai handles personal information when you use the app and our website. We designed SheYo.Ai to need as little about you as possible — but conversations, memories, and the details you choose to share are personal, and they deserve a clear explanation.
Scope
This policy covers the SheYo.Ai app and the pages we serve at SheYo.Ai. It does not cover third-party services you use to sign in, pay, or reach us, which have their own privacy policies.
What we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: your email address, Apple or Google account identifier, display name, handle, avatar, bio, tagline, age, gender, language, and app preferences.
- Content you create: messages (text, voice, and images), moments, comments, memories, profile details, and any reports or support messages you send us.
- Usage and device information: a device identifier generated for the app, app version, operating system, language, and basic technical logs such as request time and error codes.
- Purchase information: if you buy a subscription, the app store tells us whether it is active. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, browsing history outside the app, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide the service, including accounts, conversations, moments, and memories.
- Generate AI replies, voices, and images, and remember context you choose to keep.
- Personalise characters, feeds, and recommendations.
- Keep the service safe, detect abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Troubleshoot problems, measure reliability, and improve features.
- Send service messages, such as sign-in codes and important account notices.
- Process purchases and comply with legal obligations.
AI processing
To generate replies, voice, and images, we send the relevant parts of your conversation, selected memories, and character settings to third-party AI providers that process them on our behalf. Voice messages may be transcribed to text. We limit what is sent to what the request needs.
We do not use your private conversations to train our own foundation models, and we do not sell your personal information. Our providers process data under their own terms; we choose providers that offer contractual protections and we enable available data-retention controls.
AI output may be stored as part of your conversation history so the service can work as you expect.
Permissions
We ask for access only when a feature needs it:
- Photos: when you choose an image to send, upload, or use as an avatar.
- Microphone: when you record a voice message or join a voice call.
- Notifications: when you enable them in Settings.
How we share information
We share personal information only in these situations:
- Service providers: companies that host our servers, store media, deliver email, process AI requests, provide sign-in, and process payments or app-store purchases.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
- Business transfer: if we merge, acquire, or sell assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, with notice where required.
- With your direction or consent.
Storage and retention
Content is stored on cloud servers and object storage. We keep personal information while your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes described above.
When you delete content or your account, it is removed from active systems and your account record is anonymised. Residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period, or where the law requires retention.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Please protect your email account and devices, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your choices and rights
In the app you can edit your profile, clear conversations, delete individual messages, clear memories, manage notifications, and delete your account.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port your personal information, and to complain to a data-protection regulator. Email support@sheyo.ai to make a request; we may need to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
SheYo.Ai is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including countries whose privacy laws differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. If the changes are material, we will give reasonable notice in the app.
